Georgia and Saudi Arabia will sign an agreement on the creation of an intergovernmental coordination council. This is stated in the message in the press service of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
According to the report, for this purpose, the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Ilya Darkiashvili arrived on a visit to Saudi Arabia.
As part of the visit, Darchiashvili will meet with the Saudi colleague Feisal Bin Farhan.
At the end of negotiations, the parties will sign an agreement.
Georgian Foreign Affairs noted that the signing of the document will make a significant contribution to the deepening of cooperation between Tbilisi and Riyadh in the economic and political spheres, and will also bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
The decision on the creation of an interdirmy was made in 2022 during the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili to Saudi Arabia.
