Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobahidze met with Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Mactum. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Government of Georgia.
The meeting took place as part of the World Government Summit in Dubai.
During the meeting, the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the UAE was emphasized in various fields. The significance of the prime minister signed during the visit to Abu Dhabi Memorandum with EMAAR Properties/Eagle Hills, which provides for unprecedented investments in Georgia in the amount of 6 billion US dollars.
The meeting paid attention to the positive dynamics of economic cooperation, a favorable investment environment in Georgia and state programs that contribute to business development. Successful investment projects of the largest UAE companies in Georgia were discussed. In this context, the project of the dry port in Tbilisi was especially noted, implemented with the investment support of the Abu Daby port group, which is planned to be completed in 2025.
The meeting also emphasized the potential for the growth of trade between the two countries, as well as the development of cooperation in the areas of energy and tourism, and the importance of its full development.
Irakli Kobahidze officially invited the Prime Minister of the UAE to visit Georgia.
