In Tbilisi, negotiations were held between the heads of government of Georgia and Uzbekistan Irakli Garibashvili and Abdullah Aripov, the press service of the Georgian government reports.
The parties held negotiations in narrow and expanded formats, during which they emphasized the presence of close ties between the two countries.
In particular, the main directions of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan were discussed.
Garibashvili expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for the support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within the international recognized borders.
Following the results of negotiations in an expanded format, the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Uzbekistan signed an action plan for the development of bilateral cooperation for 2023-2024.
In addition, the Chamber of Commerce of the two countries signed an agreement on the creation of a joint business council Georgia-Uzbekistan.
