Georgia: Anti -government Protests Of Pro -European Demonstrators Continue 20 December

Protests against the decision of the Georgian government to suspend negotiations on the entry into the EU until 2028 continues for the 22nd day.

Demonstrations that began on November 28 in response to a statement by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze that negotiations on joining the EU will not rise over the next four years are not subside.

On the eve of the day before, the protesters again took to the streets of the capital, Tbilisi to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of the government.

Having gathered in front of the parliament building, the action participants chanted anti -government slogans and demanded new parliamentary elections. The demonstration continued until midnight.

Protesters held the flags of Georgia, the EU, Ukraine and the USA.

Earlier, the United States and Great Britain decided to impose sanctions against some Georgian officials.
