In the commemoration of veterans in Tbilisi, the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze and other officials, as well as veterans of the Second World War, took part in the Culture and Rest ceremony.
As part of the event, flowers were entrusted to the monuments to the Georgian soldiers of the Second World War.
During the Second World War, more than half a million inhabitants of Georgia went to the front.
