Georgia Celebrates “Day Of Soviet Occupation”

On February 25, Georgia celebrates the “Day of the Soviet occupation”.

In 2011, the resolution of the Georgian Parliament on February 25 was declared “Soviet occupation Day.” This day is the day of the establishment of Soviet power in the Democratic Republic of Georgia, the transformation of the latter into the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (GSSR).
