Georgia Parliament simplified decision -making by Central Election Commission

Georgia parliament adopted in the third and final reading the amendments to the constituency in the constituency, which simplified the adoption of decisions, initiated by the parliamentary majority of the amendments.

The document was adopted five months before the parliamentary elections in the country.

Amendments were supported by 80 out of 139 deputies.

According to amendments, it is provided for the creation of an “anti -trend mechanism” in case the Central Election Commission is not able to make a decision that requires voting at least 2/3 of the full composition of the CEC.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 26.
