Georgian authorities decided to suspend the work of the customs and receipt (CCI) Kazbegi, located on the border with Russia, due to heavy rains, which damaged the road of international significance leading to the CCI, the income of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic said .
“The revenue service of the Ministry of Finance reports that in connection with an emergency caused by complicated meteorological conditions in the Daryal Gorge, all customs control procedures are suspended at the customs and receipt point,” the statement said.
It is noted that due to abundant precipitation of the Terek and Devdoraki River, they came out of the shores and damaged a section of the road of international significance, which leads to the border with Russia.
