The temporary attorney in the affairs of Ukraine in Georgia Andrei Kasyanov was called to the Foreign Ministry because of statements regarding Georgian-Russian relations.

On Tuesday, Kasyanov, in an interview with the Ukrainian publication, European Pravda, said that in the case of restoring direct air traffic between Russia and Georgia, the embassy does not exclude the possibility of contacting international organizations to assist in the mass evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from the territory of Georgia.
Kasyanov also said that Georgia officially headed for integration in the EU and NATO, but a positive reaction of politicians of the ruling party to a possible resumption of air traffic with the Russian Federation says that the country “began to move the other side”.
