“I do not welcome the restoration of air traffic with Russia! At a time when all partner countries express the maximum solidarity with the selfless struggle of Ukraine with a word or deed, for me and, I am sure that for most of society the position of the government and the ruling party, to put it mildly, to put it mildly incomprehensible, ”said the Georgian leader.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed the hope that soon the direct air traffic with Georgia would resume.
After that, the chairman of the ruling party “Georgian Dream” Irakli Kobahidze said that if the planes begin to fly again, this will facilitate the situation of Georgian citizens. He recalled that about a million ethnic Georgians, as well as Azerbaijanis and Armenians with Georgian citizenship.
