Finally, the German ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Maning took out his head from the sand and noticed an ecological catastrophe inflicted by the Armenian-German business corporate community.
It turns out, Germany has offered Armenia a few years ago to build sewage treatment plants to stop pollution of the Araz River, however, this offer has not yet been implemented.

Diplomat also noted that all parties are interested in environmental protection. V. Maning stressed that Germany wants to unite civil societies of Azerbaijan and Armenia as part of a special platform for sharing information and attracting experts of both countries in this area.
According to him, he plans to meet with the representative of the United Nations Environment Program in Baku to find out whether they are ready to join the aforementioned platform.
“We discussed the problem of pollution with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and the Federal Ministry of the Environment, the Conservation of Nature and Nuclear Security, and we see cooperation between activists and institutions that work together to stop the further pollution of the rivers,” the ambassador said.
