German Chancellor Olaf Sholts assured the president of Syria Ahmed Shara in its readiness to support Syria.
According to the statement of the press secretary of the German government, Steffen Hebestrait, Chancellor Scholz held a telephone conversation with Syria President Ash Shar. The conversation of the leaders lasted about an hour.
Scholz congratulated the Syrian people on the fact that he managed to end the terrible regime of Assad.
Chancellor and the president agreed with the need for an inclusive process, which will ensure participation, rights and protection to all Syrians, regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation.
Scholz assured the ball that the German government was ready to support the restoration of Syria so that it becomes a free and safe homeland for all groups of the Syrian people.
He stated that the German government will work closely with European and international partners in this direction.
Olaf Sholts also emphasized the importance of combating terrorism for the safety of Syria, the region and the whole world.
