Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts does not see signs of a quick end to the war in Ukraine and expressed fears in connection with the possible escalation of the conflict, the Russian BBC service.
“Unfortunately, it is not yet particularly noticeable to increase the understanding of the need to commit it as soon as possible,” Scholz said in an interview with the German television channel RTL.
Scholz also rewarded that Germany would continue to provide Ukraine with weapons. In particular, he expects a fairly ambulance of promised cheap anti -aircraft self -propelled guns. The authorities are still looking for suitable ammunition abroad, he noted.
“We must also constantly carefully monitor the decisions that will make us a side of the conflict,” Scholz emphasized, assuring that he would not make decisions that could lead to a direct conflict between NATO and Russia.
“For Russia, there is only one way out of this provision – the achievement of an agreement with Ukraine,” said the Chancellor, according to which, this does not mean that the world will be reached under dictatorship, by capturing part of the territory, and then with the requirement: “Sign up here”. “This will not work, as in the case of Crimea, where the war ended in the sense that there is no more shooting, but a new border was held,” Scholz emphasized.
