German Chancellor: Future Of Country Will Not Be Decided By Owners Of Social Networks

The future of Germany will be determined by its citizens, not the owners of social networks.

The Federal Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Sholts, stated in traditional New Year’s speech.

Without calling specific names, Scholz criticized the owner of the social network X Ilona Mask, who previously publicly expressed support for the ultra -right party “Alternative for Germany” (AFD), saying that only this party can save the country.

Scholz noted that the future of Germany is determined by its citizens. “It is not solved by the owners of social networks,” he said, obviously, referring to Ilona Mask.

“During the discussions, after all, sometimes it may have the impression that the more radical the opinion, the more attention to it. But not the one who screams louder, determines how things will be in Germany, and this determines the vast majority of reasonable and this decent people, ”the Chancellor said.

The politician noted that this applies to the federal elections that will take place on February 23. Sholts turned to citizens with an appeal to take an active part in the elections.

The Chancellor also assured the citizens of Germany that the authorities would bring to the guilty of the attack on the Christmas Fair in Magdeburg.

“In Germany, difficult times. The economy is experiencing difficulties. Life has become more expensive,” said Sholts.

The head of the Federal Republic of Germany also assured that Berlin will continue to provide firm support to Ukraine.

According to Sholts, many people with a sense of growing anxiety monitor the conflict in Ukraine. “I assure you that we will not leave Ukraine alone and continue to support, like no one else in Europe, and that we will maintain composure so that the war does not grow,” he added.
