The largest oil and gas company Wintershall Dea was convicted of the Russian Gazprom supply components for bombers, according to a joint investigation of Der Spiegel and ZDF. This is reported by Moscow Times.
According to journalists, we are talking about gas condensate, also known as “White Oil”. Gazprom is a partner of Wintershall Dea: in the framework of the joint venture “Achimgaz” companies are developing deposits in Western Siberia. Gas condensate is a by -product of production, which in large volumes enters the plant of the Russian concern in Omsk. The raw materials are processed, and the resulting fuel is sent to military airfields.
Investigators were able to install at least nine air bases where deliveries went. Fuel from Omsk was received by Morozovsk and Voronezh, where the fighter-bombers of the SU class are deployed. These aircraft firing both military and civil goals in Ukraine.
In Wintershall Dea, charges of Russian help in the war are rejected, assuring that it is not involved in the processing of gas condensate, with guarantees that it is used only for civilian purposes was not able to give.
Wintershall Dea Director Mario Meren also recalled that the company condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, demanded an immediate termination of hostilities and refused investments and new projects with the Russian Federation. At the same time, Wintershall Dea did not leave the country. The company is still participating in the development of the Achimov deposits of the Urengoy oil and gas condensate field in Siberia, as well as in three projects for the development of the South Russian field of natural gas.
