Europeans support the Syrian people and free Syria, said German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok before the meeting of the EU Foreign Ministry, held in Brussels.
Berobok noted that Syria will be one of the key questions on the agenda.
“We, as Europeans on the side of the Syrian people and free Syria,” she said.
Berobok added that Germany expects the beginning of the inclusive political process, which will cover all sides.
According to the head of the department, Germany will allocate 300 million euros to help the Syrians through the UN and other international organizations.
In addition, Berbok expressed confidence that the peaceful future of Syria is possible only through a comprehensive political process.
“Cruel crimes against civilians should be carefully investigated, and the perpetrators are held accountable. In addition, the transition government should establish control over various security structures. Integration of the Kurds into state and law enforcement agencies – an important step towards a single Syria. According to the Foreign Minister, the Constitutional Declaration of Syria should fill out a legal vacuum in the transition period.
“The president must use his power responsibly and act in the interests of all Syrians. This is a historical opportunity, a huge task and a very subtle line,- the minister emphasized.

In addition, the head of the diplomatic mission also stated that one of the main tasks remains support for strong and independent Ukraine.
According to the minister, for this it is necessary not only to strengthen the defense capabilities of Kyiv, but also to quickly make decisions at the level of heads of state and the EU Governments on military support.
“Investments in the safety of Europe are investments in Ukraine, transatlantic security and sustainable relations with allies,” Berobok emphasized.
