German power company went bankrupt due to gas prices

Founded in 2013, the German energy company NECKERMANN STROM AG, which provides services of approximately 13 thousand consumers in Germany, filed a statement about its bankruptcy against the background of the situation with growing fuel prices in the EU. This was reported by the publication Wirtschafts Woche.

It is noted that in recent weeks in this sector, several companies have already filed a bankruptcy. At the same time, minor suppliers suffer more, which have to buy electricity and gas on stock exchanges in a short time. Transfer so increased procurement costs to customers, as a rule, they cannot, because long-term contracts are concluded.

Note that in mid-October in Germany, due to the increase in fuel prices, the energy company Otima Energie AG has announced its bankruptcy.
