At the contribution to the development of Azerbaijani culture and literature, Shusha is comparable to the cultural center of Germany Weimar.

The grandson of the Karabakh and Shushushin Khan Ibrahim Khalil-Khan, Jafargul Khan since 1829, returned from the reference to Russia, regularly conducted literary maclines in Shushe with the participation of 30-40 creative personalities. In the following years, on the example of literary Majlis, Khurshidban Natavan (1832-1897) “Majlis-ONS” (“Majlis Friendship”) and the world of Mohsun Navurba (1833-1918) “Majlis-Faramushan” (“Majlis forgotten”) Shusha is presented in the history of Azerbaijan Literature as the main center of the Majlisa culture.
