Germany will not receive gas from Russia through the North Stream-2 gas pipeline, said the representative of the Government of Germany. It was a response to the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to resume supplies on an intact gas pipeline, writes Voice of America.
The official noted that Berlin can accept supplies on the Northern Stream-1 if Moscow resumes them. “Gas was not received by the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline, because Russia did not supply it. If Russia supplies gas by Northern Stream-1, then at the moment there is no embargo against it,” he said.
The question of journalists about whether Germany excludes the possibility of obtaining gas by Nord Stream-2, the representative of the German government answered “Yes.”
