Several countries of the European Union opposed Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU members. In particular, Germany and the Netherlands were opposed to such initiative, Bloomberg writes.
The publication notes that this week in France the summit will be held in which the European Union participating countries will discuss Ukraine’s request.
“The authorities of the Netherlands and Germany called on the EU executive body to express their opinion on the readiness of Ukraine to the Membership Process before making a political decision,” the article of the American Media.
