German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok announced difficulties with the provision of frozen assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. Berobok said this after a meeting of foreign ministers of the countries of the Grand Seine (G7) in the castle estate at the Vaisengauus resort in the Baltic Sea, writes DW.
“Access to frozen assets legally (…) is not so simple,” said the politician.
She recognized the presence of good reasons for the transfer of frozen assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. However, she indicated that both sanctions and such a step should be agreed with the norms of the legal system of Germany, and also not to cause potential objections from the European Court.
