Germany Detained Ship Of Russian “shadow Fleet”

Germany in the Baltic Sea was detained by a ship, which is supposedly part of the Russian “shadow fleet”.

Spiegel’s news says that on March 14, German customs confiscated the load of the Eventin tanker under the flag of Panama, which has been anchored off the coast of the Rügen Island since mid -January.

According to the report, the result of the indicated decision of the customs department on the confiscation of the tanker into Germany’s ownership passed about 100 thousand tons of crude oil worth 40 million euros.

Security circles noted that the flag of the Eventin vessel will be changed after making the relevant decision. The German government decided in favor of a tough position in relation to the secret shadow fleet of Russia, which sells oil to the whole world, despite the current sanctions.

Such a tough position, the Berlin administration makes it clear to Moscow that Germany will not be an outside observer over the transit of Russian oil through the Baltic Sea.

The authorities plan how and where it is safe to pump out oil from the tanker. He was towed from the coast of the city of Zapers due to the risk of leakage and was under the supervision of German security services for 24 hours.

The ship “Eventin” since the end of February has been included in the European Union (EU) list as part of the Russian shadow fleet.
