The Federal Agency for Germany (BNETZA) is afraid of the complete cessation of gas supplies from the Russian Federation and urges residents of the country to save energy. Such a statement was made by the head of Bnetza Klaus Müller, his words are quoted by Deutsche Welle.
According to information, from July 11 to 21, Nord Stream AG will temporarily stop both threads of the Nord Stream gas pipeline for “planned preventive work”. The question is whether these technical work will turn into “incessant maintenance for political reasons,” Müller emphasized.
If the supply of gas from Russia “decreases for a longer period, we will have to talk more about savings more seriously,” the head of the federal agency is sure. According to him, 12 weeks before the start of the heating season should be used to prepare for it.
Klaus Müller called on the residents of Germany to quickly check the work of heating boilers and radiators.
