The Government of Germany does not currently consider the issue of possible supplies of combat aircraft to Ukraine.
This was stated at a briefing by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Germany Arne Collaz.
“For us this topic is not on the agenda,” he said.
In turn, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany Christian Hofman said that “this topic was not discussed at the European Council” (February 9 – Ed.).
Before the EU summit, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky made a speech in the European Parliament, the head of which Robert Metsola called on the EU countries to transfer military aircraft and long -range systems of action.
The head of the European Council Charles Michelle made a similar statement. In turn, the Chairman of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen noted that decisions on the supply of weapons are made not at the EU level, but of individual community states.
