Germany’s leading newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung published an article about Turkish drones that caused shock in the German army, reports TRT Haber.
The article in the German publication states that the success of Turkish UAVs in Azerbaijan forced the German army to take action. It is emphasized that the German Ministry of Defense recognized that the system of the country’s air defense system is powerless to resist the drone.
The Minister of Defense Annegeret Kramp Carrenbauer put forward some suggestions to eliminate the problem in this direction. “Due to the threat of attacks of the UAV, an urgent need to update the air defense system, otherwise the armed forces will not be able to resist this,” the article says.
It is also noted that the BPL of Israeli and Turkish production was destroyed in Karabakh and adjacent to it more than 190 Armenian tanks and armored personnel carriers. Armenian soldiers were demoralized because they were vulnerable to attacks.
Currently, the German Ministry of Defense has plans to create a modern German air defense system (TLVS) worth more than 13 billion euros, it is noted in the article.
