State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Tobias Lindner said that Germany refused to transfer to Ukraine the Patriot air defense system, since they are part of the NATO collective defense system. His words are conveyed by Rzeczpospolitej.
“Two days ago, we agreed with Poland that we are sending a group of German military personnel to study a place where Patriot complexes can be deployed. We care about protecting Poland security, so we offer to place Patriot systems on the eastern flank of NATO, Lindner said .
The politician also emphasized that Germany is not ready to talk about Ukraine’s accession to NATO until the end of the conflict with Russia, but will support Kyiv as much as it is required.
