The threats of Russia in relation to Lithuania must be taken seriously and you need to be ready to react to them. This was stated by German defense Minister Christine Lambrecht while visiting the NATO military base in Lithuanian Rules, writes Deutsche Welle.
“It is not known how far gigantomania (President of the Russian Federation Vladimir – Ed.) Putin will go. We (Germany – Ed.) The obligation to protect Lithuania’s safety, and this is what we will do,” she said.
The head of the German military department was thanked by the Lithuanian colleague Arvidas Anushauskas. He expressed gratitude to Germany for the protection of his country. The Minister of Defense of Lithuania called on NATO allies to remain in high readiness mode. “We need to start thinking as if we ourselves are at war, although our states are not waging war,” he emphasized. Arvidas Anushauskas is sure that emanating from Russia is “direct and long -term.”
