Germany should stop importing coal from Russia for the transition period in 120 days, stipulated by the new sanctions of the European Union, said the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reports RIA Novosti.
“From my point of view, we will have to use this transitional period (in 120 days). If it is faster, then this is good, but we need some time and enterprises,” the chancellor explained.
Scholz noted that this transition will require time, but Germany is good ready for the abandonment of Russian coal.
