The German economy “without delay” approves the supply of weapons to Ukraine and continue to do this in the future, said the head of the department, Vice Chancellor of Germany Robert Habek in an interview with the Funke media group. But so far this does not apply to heavy tanks and fighters, he clarified.
“My Office is responsible for control over the export of industrial products – in this framework we all approved without delay and will also approve without delay in the future. While it does not include heavy tanks or fighters,” – quotes Habeka RIA Novosti.
The increase in the “quantity and quality of weapons supply” is discussed with NATO partners, added vice-chancellor.
“We are discussing with our European partners and NATO partners,” said Habek.
German concern Rheinmetall previously expressed his willingness to deliver Ukraine to 50 Leopard tanks 1. However, according to Vice Chancellor, this technique is not yet ready for use.
