Global Sales Of Electric Vehicles Reached Record Level Of Third Month In Row

World sales of electric vehicles in November 2024 set a new record, reaching 1.83 million units. This is the third consecutive month with record indicators.

According to the British research company RHO Motion, sales of electric vehicles in November increased by 100 thousand compared to the previous month. Against this background, the year in annual calculus was 32%, and in the monthly – 6%.

China continues to be a sales leader, amounting to 1.3 million units from the total number of world sales.

Between January to November 2024, 15.2 million electric vehicles were sold in the world, which is 25% more than in the same period of 2023. In China, sales increased by 40%, amounting to 9.7 million cars.

Sales of electric vehicles in the European Union and Great Britain during this period amounted to 2.7 million, decreasing by 3% compared to last year. 1.6 million electric vehicles were sold in the USA and Canada, which is 10% more than in 2023.

Charles Leicester, the director according to RHO Motion, noted that the last three months they show a significant increase in sales of electric vehicles, but there is an imbalance between the regions. In Europe, sales decreased by 3%, while China took two -thirds of all sales in November.
