Google Corrected Search Error About Course Of US Presidential Election

Google said that it has eliminated the technical problem, because of which American voters looking for voting places for one of the presidential candidates received different search results.

When users were looking for “where I can vote for Harris”, they got to the “where to vote” map, while a similar search for the word “Trump” did not cause the same tips.

Google said that the discrepancy is associated with the process of interpreting the search engine. The search term “Harris” also corresponds to the Harris district in Texas, which mistakenly led to the appearance of the panel with information about the voting place for requests for the candidate from the Democrats of Kamale Harris. Similar results appeared when searching for Jay Di Wans, a candidate from the Republicans

Donald Trump, which is also the name of the district.

The company confirmed that the problem is now eliminated.

This correction appeared on the eve of the elections in the United States: on Tuesday, millions of Americans will come to polling stations to choose the 47th president of the country, and the former President Trump will fight his opponent from the Democrats, vice president of Harris.
