The Moldova Government at a meeting on Wednesday approved the draft law on the denunciation of the Convention on the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states, Interfax reports.
The explanatory note notes that “the main areas of activity of the CIS of the CIS is to protect the basic rights and freedoms of a person, monitoring the development of democracy and suffrage, as well as the fight against threats and challenges for security,” but “it is obvious that in the current regional context , caused by the conflict in Ukraine, the implementation of these tasks is impossible due to the opposite opinion of some members of the Assembly for this part. “
“After the analysis of the political impact on the internal, bilateral regional and multilateral level of denunciation of the corresponding convention, the negative consequences have not been identified. There were also no consequences for relations with other participants in the contract and with the third parties,” the document says.
As the authors of the bill noted, the inter -parliamentary Assembly of the CIS did not contribute to solving Moldova real problems.
