Government of New Zealand plans to ban use of mobile phones in schools

The new Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxson plans to prohibit the use of mobile phones in schools. The corresponding initiative of the New Zealand prime minister is provided for by the 1009-day program of 49 points announced by him.

Among the steps that the government plans to take in the field of education is a ban on the use of mobile phones in schools and the introduction of mandatory reading lessons, letters and mathematics for an hour a day.

In addition, the action plan of the new government provides for the narrowing of the Central Bank, focusing his attention only on holding inflation under control.

The new prime minister also plans to cancel the restrictions acting in relation to tobacco products and approved by the previous government in 2022.

“We adhere to the status quo,” Luxson said. “Under our government, we are going to continue to reduce the level of smoking throughout New Zealand,” he added.

The first 100-day action plan also provides for increasing the production of renewable energy in a double size.
