The Spanish government protested NATO due to the fact that the Alliance did not include Spanish companies in the development plans of the alliance defense industry.
Spanish Minister of Defense Margarita Robblez did not take part in a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels, dedicated to the development of the defense industry in Europe and North America.
It is reported that Robble will take part in other meetings.
Sources in the Spanish government told local media that the authorities have imposed a veto on increasing investment in the defense industry of NATO countries, since the Spanish companies were not included in the project.
Spain will not change its position until local companies are included in the plan.
At the same time, sources in the Spanish Ministry of Defense reported that NATO, without turning on Spain in his plan, “put a bad start, without inclusive and transparency.”
