Governor Hawaii promised to “revive from ashes” island of Maui, which suffered from forest fires

The Governor of the American State Gavia Josh Green promised to “revive the island of Maui from the forest fires from the ashes.

According to him, on the eve of the tourist city of Lahain, the bodies of three more dead were discovered. Thus, the number of fire victims on the island of Maui increased to 114.

“Unfortunately, it took us less than a day to lose Lahain in the most deadly fire that our country has seen in more than a hundred years,” said the governor.

According to him, the island of Maui will “rebel from the ashes” again, restoration work will be carried out taking into account the wishes of the inhabitants of the island.

Green again urged tourists not to visit the western part of the island of Maui. All other parts of the island of Maui and the islands are safe for visiting, he noted.

The fire that began on the island of Maui on August 9 became the most deadly in the United States for more than 100 years. Due to the strong wind, the fire quickly spread to the historical city of Lahaina, which as a result was completely burned.
