British Prime Minister Kir Starkmer and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schooh discussed the support of Ukraine in London, cooperation in the field of technology, innovation and energy.
According to the Chancellery of the British Prime Minister, one of the key topics of the meeting was the situation in Ukraine. Starmer emphasized that the UK will continue to provide Kyiv with unchanging support. Leaders agreed to work together to strengthen the positions of Ukraine, and also announced the creation of a new bilateral security mechanism, which will be overseeing the heads of foreign policy departments of both countries.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the fight against organized crime, in particular with a network of smuggling people.
In addition, Starmer and Shorhof noted the importance of rapid response to the possibilities that provide artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and semiconductors. Leaders agreed to develop a new partnership for the accelerated development of key technological industries.
Energy issues have become another important topic of negotiations. The British prime minister presented plans for the development of nuclear infrastructure.
The parties agreed on the preparation of a new agreement in the field of stable energy, including the development of atomic energy, and emphasized the importance of energy safety.
