On Sunday, July 23, in Greece a new temperature record was recorded when the air warmed up more than 46 degrees.
This was reported by Kathimerini with reference to the data of automatic meteorological stations of the Athenian National Observatory.
The temperature record was recorded in the city of Gityio in the periphery of the Peloponnese. The air temperature rose to 46.4 degrees.
This is a new record of the highest temperature in Greece since the start of observations in 2006.
