Growth of economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 5% for first half of 2023

According to the results of the first half of the current year, the growth rate of the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 5 percent. This was announced today by the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov at a government meeting, Kazinform reports.

“According to the results of the first half of the current year, the growth rate of the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 5 percent. Including growth in the real sector amounted to 4.8 percent, and in the service sector – 4.9 percent,” said Alibek Kuantyrov.

The Minister noted that in all basic industries there is a positive dynamics, while the most growth demonstrates construction, trade, as well as information and communication.

The growth rate of investment in fixed assets amounted to 13 percent.

In turn, the Prime Minister of the Republic Alikhan Smailov noted that one of the priorities of economic policy is a phased reduction in the state of the state in the economy.

“The implementation of this policy should be carried out through a comprehensive privatization and transfer of unusual functions to a competitive environment. We must reduce the state of the state in the economy to 14.4 percent of the GDP. Before the end of the year, it is necessary to ensure a high -quality implementation of a comprehensive privatization plan,” said Alikhan Smailov Smailov .
