Guinea: Mosque Named After Recep Tayyip Erdogan Was Opened

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a video conference mode, took part in the opening ceremony named in his honor of the mosque in the capital of Guinea Konakri. The Turkish leader connected to the event from the residence of Dolmabakhche in Istanbul.

The foundation of the mosque was laid in 2023. The structure is occupied by an area of ​​3.2 thousand square meters. Here they can simultaneously make a prayer of 2.1 thousand people

The head of state emphasized that “mosques are not just structures built of stone and solution, but creations erected with the help of reason, faith and conscience.”

He expressed confidence that the Mosque Recep Tayyip Erdogan will become a symbol of the fraternity between the peoples of Turkey and Guinea. “Today we opened not only the mosque, but also installed the bridge of the brotherhood, which runs from heart to heart,” he said.

The president noted that “the mosque is impressive with its architecture, ornament and outlines.” “With the help of this creation, which contains the effect of a single volume and a portico from the architecture of the Ottoman mosques, we sought to reflect the rich decorative motives of the Turkish-Islamic tradition in all its harmony,” he said.
