Ukrainian hackers from Hackyourmom Group, using fake accounts on social networks, discovered a Russian military base under the Melitopol captured by the Russian army (Zaporizhzhya region of Ukraine).
Financial Times, citing the creator of the group, Nikita Knysh, writes that they seemed attractive women and asked the soldiers to send their photos. According to the pictures, hackers determined the location of the base. Hackers transferred the information received from Russian soldiers to the armed forces of Ukraine. According to Knysh, a few days later an artillery blow was inflicted on the base. When this happened, the hacker did not specify.
Moscow Times writes that before the start of the war, Knysh was an IT entrepreneur and headed the HackControl cybersecurity company in Kharkov. After February 24, he offered his candidacy for the Kharkov office of the SBU, but he was refused. Then Knysh moved to Vinnitsa and in the basement of the factory organized a hacker group Hackyourmom. According to the hacker, the Hackyourmom group hacked the external observation chain in Belarus, as well as in the territories of Ukraine captured by Russia. With the help of a special program, hackers separated information about civil traffic from the movement of military equipment and transmitted these data to the Armed Forces. Before the publication of FT, the Hackyourmom group was not mentioned in the news.
