In Haiti, as a result of the armed attack of the gang organized in the Delmas-30 area, which is located in the vicinity of the capital of Porto-Prens, 2 soldiers and at least 10 civilians were killed.
According to local media, gang members arranged an attack on a residential area. The videos published on social networks show how they were set on fire, and many people were forced to leave their homes.
The responsibility for the attack is assigned to the gang led by the former police officer, nicknamed Barbecue, Zham Sherizier.
During an operation conducted by the National Police, SWAT units and temporary units for the fight against gangs (UTAG), 5 gang members were killed.
Prime Minister Haiti Alix Didier Fils Aim noted that elections in the country are impossible without improving security and economics. He emphasized that the government undertakes to ensure security. “We are waging a war with gangs, this war requires huge resources,” he added.
