Foreign Ministers of Turkey Hakan Fidan and Syria Assad Shebani after the completion of negotiations in Ankara performed at a joint press conference.
The Foreign Minister of Turkey in his speech said that the parties during negotiations discussed bilateral relations, regional issues and current topics of the agenda.
According to him, relations between Turkey and Syria will be strengthened in all directions.
Commenting on the new realities of Syria, the minister noted that the time has come to all religious, ethnic and sectarian groups to hug each other in Syria.
Hakan Fidan said that the Consulate General of Turkey in Aleppo will begin its work on January 20.
He added that Türkiye offered the Syrian government to operational support in the fight against deash.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the New Government of Syria Assad Sheybani in a response word said that Syria and Türkiye laid the foundation for a new story and opened a new page.
Sheybani emphasized the importance of the territorial unity of Syria.
“The entire territory of the country should be under the control of the central government. The new administration of Syria believes that no threat to Turkey should proceed from the country,” the Syrian minister summed up.
