Extremely strong and strong ties are established between Turkmenistan and Turkey. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a meeting with a colleague from Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov in Ashgabat.
Fidan expressed satisfaction with his stay in Turkmenistan along with the Turkish delegation.
The Foreign Minister noted that at a morning meeting with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdymuhamedov, important strategic issues were affected.
“We listened to his peaceful vision of the development of Turkmenistan and our region as a whole,” said Fidan.
The Turkish minister recalled that in December 2022 a meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan took place.
“(Turkmenistan -Strawlia) have extremely strong and strong bilateral ties. We strive to contribute to this, institutionalize this process, and also open new spheres of our interaction,” said Fidan.
The Minister noted that Turkey and Turkmenistan are two states that “act in the spirit of one nation and two states, and also have unshakable strong ties.”
“I believe that the cooperation, work and professionalism, which the two countries will demonstrate in the modern period, will strengthen the brotherly bonds existing between us,” Fidan handed up.
In turn, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Meredov congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.
Following the meeting of Fidan and Meredov signed a “Cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkish and the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan for 2024-2025”.
