Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Foreign Minister Foreign Foreign Jean-Noel Barro.
According to sources in the Foreign Ministry, Fidan and Barro, they met on the fields of the 61st Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, the parties considered the situation in Syria and discussed relations between Turkey and the EU.
Fidan told his French colleague that it was necessary to make joint efforts to ensure safety and stability in Syria. He said that Türkiye will continue the most decisive struggle with such terrorist organizations as RSC and Deash.
Minister Fidan noted that relations between Turkey and the EU should not be discussed in the context of debates about identity, it is important to evaluate them on the basis of mutual interests and merits.
The ministers also exchanged views on the efforts to establish peace in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
