On October 6, a telephone conversation was held between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
During the conversation, Minister Fidan sharply brought to the attention of his American colleague that the United States, as an ally of Turkey, should stop cooperation with the YPG terrorist organization in northern Syria, and noted that the counter -terrorist operations of Turkey in Iraq and Syria will be continued in decisively.
The ministers, in the framework of Turkey carried out in the region, discussed the mechanism of interaction between Turkey and American troops in Iraq and Syria. The parties came to the conclusion that in the context of the confused UAV of the Turkish Armed Forces, this mechanism will operate effectively without preventing Turkey’s struggle with terrorism.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the issue of expansion of NATO.
