Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will take part in a meeting with the participation of the heads of a number of departments of Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, which will be held in the Jordanian capital on March 9.
According to information received from diplomatic sources, Hakan Fidan will visit Amman on Sunday to take part in a meeting with the participation of the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Yashar Guler, director of the National Intelligence Organization (Mi̇t) Ibrahim Kalyn, ministers of the Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, as well as the chiefs of general staffs and intelligence.
Türkiye attaches great importance to close cooperation with the countries of the region in light of security threats on the borders and beyond.
It is expected that during the meeting, which Jordan will accept, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of security, combating terrorism and organized crime, as well as regional development issues.

Earlier, Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler and the head of Mi̇t Kalyn met with their Syrian colleagues on January 15 and Jordanian colleagues on January 6 in Ankara. On March 14, 2024, the meeting in the same format was held in Baghdad with Iraqi colleagues.
