A high-ranking representative of Hamas said that Israel rejected the organization’s proposal to receive information on the status of four Israelis contained in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of prisoners of Palestinian Arabs, reports The Jerusalem Post.
It is noted that the proposal was transferred to Israel through representatives of Egypt. Last week, the head of the main intelligence of Egypt Abbas Kamel said that he appeals to Israel every day and Hamas representatives about several issues, including a potential long-term cease-fire agreement, as well as the exchange of prisoners.
Camel said that such a deal should begin with the liberation of the elderly, women, adolescents and patients with the prisoners of Palestinian Arabs contained in Israeli prisons.
The representative of Hamas Halil Al-Heya refused to call the number of prisoners to be released at the request of terrorists. Jaya refused to provide any details about the state of four Israelis, but said that Hamas sees the differences between Israeli soldiers and civilians.
Moreover, Al-Hey also threatened that Hamas would kidnap out other soldiers of Cachal, if Israel disagrees to fulfill the requirements of militants.
