The emerging controversial issues between Azerbaijan and Iran should be resolved without the intervention of foreign forces. This was stated by the spiritual leader and the head of the Islamic Republic of Ali Chamenei.
“The situation that recently arose in the north-west of the country should be permitted without interference and the military presence of foreign forces in the region,” the ISNA agency quotes.
“The army of the peoples of the region can manage them themselves, and we will not allow other forces to intervene,” he added.
Chamenei’s statement sounded against the background of political tensions between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the beginning of the military teachings of the Iranian army near the Azerbaijani border.
