Hamsa exports (European Anchow) from Turkey from January to June 2023 increased by 7 percent compared to the same period last year – up to 5,823,665 dollars.
As Anadol reports with reference to the Association of Exporters of the East Black Sea region of Turkey (DKİb), foreign deliveries were carried out in 23 countries.
The leading importers of Hams from Turkey during the indicated period became France, Belgium and the USA.
In the first six months of this year, the volume of export of Hamsa from Turkey to France amounted to $ 2,351,228.
Following France is followed by Belgium – 1,575,321 dollar and the USA – 546,087 dollars.
In addition, the supplies of Hamsa were made to Sweden, Uzbein, Iraq, Lebanon, Malaysia and Somalia, where this product was not exported in the same period of 2022.
Deputy Chairman of the board of DKİb Ahmet Hamdi Gürdogan told Anadol that Hams’s export in January-June 2023 demonstrated growth in monetary terms, and in kind, on the contrary, was reduced.
