Hankendi remained without water

Early in the morning of August 8, separatist forces in the control area of ​​Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh appealed to the Armenian population of the city of Hankendi (Stepanakert) with a message about drinking water problems in the city.

“In Stepanakert, thousands of people are deprived of drinking water. The capital mayor’s office asks the citizens who live in the lowlands of the city, having drinking water, economically spend water,” – the circulation says.

Note that on the eve of the retreat from the liberated by the units of the Azerbaijani Army of the city of Shusha, the occupation administration disabled a water pipeline.

As previously reported to Haqqin.az, on August 3, OJSC Azersu signed the contract for the overhaul of the current water supply facilities of the city of Shusha in order to ensure a stable water supply to the city. The contract was awarded to ProTean Construction by the method of surveying proposals. The cost of the project is equal to the annual separatist budget – 8 million 631.2 thousand manat (over $ 5 million dollars). Works are subject to completion until the end of this year.
